Meet My Family, My Heart & Painting Walls Road Block

My Family, My Heart...
A Close Up of My Awesome Family
4 Children 4 different personalities..... One Husband/Cowboy 22 years on June 18th.

The Cowboy and the Artist...
He is Realistic, I am a dreamer.
He is a saver, I am a shopper.
He is color blind, Hello, I am an artist...
(what was I thinking?)
He is organized, Me not so much.
But, We both love each other, God and our...
FAMILY.
The Cowboy and the Artist have a family....
The oldest is Joshua, He just graduated from a 2 year college
with an associate degree in Graphic Art on the Deans list.
He is looking into The Kansas City Art Institute to finish his degree.
We are so Proud of him.

The Second Child is Jacob, He is a Jr. in high school. His is our
Music Man and plays the guitar, drums and has carried a 3.9 GPA
through out his school years.
We are so Proud of him.

The third child is Rebekah, She is a Freshman in high school. She another
creative spirit, sensitive, smart and intuitive.
She is our cheer leader and photographer.
We are so Proud of her.

And the fourth child, Rachel. She is a 5th grader.
She is spirited, smart and funny! She makes everyone around her smile.
She is our cowgirl, she loves to ride, rope and go fast on her horse.

The Cowboy, My Husband and partner.
I asked God for a cowboy and boy did I get one.
Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it.
He works hard and plays hard.
His is a wonderful father and provider.
He has made it possible for me to stay at home
and be a mom to our 4 children.
I would not have done it any other way!!!

Where does my FAITH come from,
Generations,
My Grandma and my mother are
both Christian women and they
passed down their faith...
TO ME...
They lived it,
they shared it
and
they taught it by example.
What an awesome gift
they have given me...
I will pass it on to my
children & grand children.

If I could share one thing about my family,
they are my HEART!
God has blessed and honored me
by giving me my family.
Thank You God!!!

ANOTHER STROKE OF THE BRUSH...
Road Block on wall paint...

I bought samples of the colors I thought
 I had picked.
Put them up on the walls and they looked
nothing like the paint deck.
So I am off to pick something different.
Of course now that my friends
have seen my palette of colors.
I am getting all kinds of input good
and not so good.
So I am Color Confused.....
Might not get the paint on the walls as
soon as I intended.
I will keep you posted.
I just want to Thank you for  stopping by...
I love your comments...

Spring Cleaning and a Fresh Coat of Paint...Before...

Spring has sprung and I am
having the urge to
change the scheme of
the walls in my...
My Kitchen
 an Old World Color wash.

and my Living Room
Just golden with denim and red accents...

And the down stairs bathroom
This was a denim technique
Sooooo, There you have it,
Time for a new look and a new energy.
I am thinking of doing one color everywhere...
It is a pale lavender with a tinge of gray,
very soft and a nice calming energy.
The kitchen is French County now....
I am envisioning Vintage
with this color swatch...
What do you think?
All my blue ball jars will pop
off the color.
And  I love vintage turquoise it
will be the kitchen accent color.
It looks really nice with these colors too!
I Think I have the plan...
In My Head!!!!
I am hoping to buy the paint today or tomorrow.
Just a matter of finalizing my color palette in
My Head ...of course.
Stay tuned for the After Pics.
Have a beautiful and relaxing Sunday!

Yeah I won!!!
I am soooo excited to announce
that I won a
Beautiful...
Scripture
Necklace

I can tell she has a Heart for Jesus!!
She makes these awesome Scripture Bead Necklaces.
And I won... One!

Art and Scripture right up my ally!
Thank you Martha!

Proverbs 6:21 "Bind them continually on your heart; Tie them about thy neck."

Make time to stop by her blog, I am sure you will enjoy
your visit, I know I did.

Another Stroke of the Brush...
So Much more,
In seeking others with a heart for Jesus,
I have found
Beautiful,
Creative
&
Encouraging people.

In seeking, I have found...
My Faith has become even stronger.
I have seen the
LIGHT
 of Jesus
brighter then ever.
In nurturing and faith filled Christian women.
In the comments they have left behind.
Just a tiny foot print that they have even come,  if only for a moment.
They have taken the time to share,
Taken the time to care
&
Taken the time to encourage
MY
 heart and soul.

The truth is... NO seeds... NO harvest.

Gen 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the
earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. In the short time I have been blogging and planting my

seeds of faith.
I can assure you...

I am
reaping so much more than
I have sown.

I share...
But...the Truth
I have received so much more
then I have shared.

I reach out...
But...the Truth
So many more have reached out to
me.

I desire to inspire...
But...the Truth
So  many more have been an
inspiration to me.
 Thanks.

Thanks!!

Sowing, Growing and Sharing & A new watercolor...

It is planting time in Central Iowa and
the farmers are busy sowing seeds
in the fields surrounding my home.
The tulips are just beginning to bloom
bright vibrant colors, red, violet and yellow.
Thanks to the lady who lived here
before we bought our place.
You see, the truth is, I can paint flowers
but, I really really can not have grow them,
not a green thumb
on either hand.
That is unless I am painting with green....Smile!

If I leave the flowers be, they seem to grow.
If I tend  them, they go....never to grow again.
So I just let nature do its thing!!!
And I do mine...

This is the newest addition to my
Seeds & Petals Series
Titled
Seeds, Petals and Spring Tulips

This is a 5" x 7" matted original watercolor.
I will be selling it on ETSY

Another Stroke of the Brush...
As I watch the farmers sowing their seeds,
It reminds me of my need to
sow Gods words into my
heart and soul daily.
We must make the time
to sow Gods words or
we can not grow
as Christians.

"The Lord your God, will bless you in all your harvest
and in all the work of your hands, and
your joy will be complete.
Deuteronomy 16:15

See as Christians we have work to do...
Sowing,
Growing
&
Sharing the Harvest.

Sow encouragement into a friend soul.
Help someone else grow in Gods Love.
Harvest and share the Love you
have found
in
Jesus Christ.
May your Blessing be many and your
harvest be bountiful.
Thanks for droping by!!! Have a great day!

Some of you might recognize it from my old header.
A Big shout out of THANKS!!!
FOR ALL THE SUPPORT
AND SWEET COMMENTS
FROM YOU ALL.

Another stroke of the brush....

The Grace of God is sooooo Good.
As Christians we are called to serve each other.
Serve with Grace
Serve with Kindness
and
Serve as Jesus served Us.
His mission from the beginning
was to serve you and I,
through his death on the
cross.

"IN THE SAME WAY,
THE SON OF MAN DID
NOT COME TO BE SERVED.
HE CAME TO SERVE OTHERS
AND TO
GIVE HIS LIFE
AS
RANSOME
FOR MANY PEOPLE."
Mark 10:45

He did not come to be served
He came to Serve.

SOOOO,
Take a moment today and serve...
SERVE A SMILE,
SERVE A COMPLEMENT
AND
SERVE A LIVING
GOD,
JESUS CHRIST

Sunshine, Thanks and using our gifts!!!

I am honored to announce I have received
 A
 Sunshine Award,

From a dear and encouraging blogging friend,
Leeann @

When you get a chance stop by for some encouragement,
You'll be glad you did!!
Leeann will brighten your day and encourage you along the way!!
Thanks Leeann for the Beautiful award, I am honored.

Another Stroke of the brush...

So I have been very busy getting ready for the
IOWA   Artist Juried Show!!
I am entering 2 Watercolor Paintings.
It is an all day event this Saturday, with winners announce at the end of the day.
I am very excited!!!!
& a little nervous.
Sharing your art can be a little daunting,
Exposing
your dreams
your soul
&
your heart.
My art is a part of me, a silent expression of who I am and
who I want to be.
I gift from God which I take very seriously,
I desire to share this gift and to give God all the
Glory!
But...ugh! To be very honest it is hard for me to share, to take a piece of
myself and put it out there into the universe.
leaving me open to
 rejection
and
criticism.
Sometimes... I compare it to sharing the word of God.
Not everyone hears the truth in Gods words.
Not everyone believes in the truth of Gods words.
And some people don't want to know the truth of Gods words.
So when you make a choice to share Gods Truth
with others you may be..
Rejected
Persecuted
&
Judged
But, still we are called to serve, share and be disciples of the truth!

My Art is a piece of me, like my hand or foot and
I find it hard to separate the emotions from the work.
Like a parent separated from a child
or a people separated from their
God.
In the end, it is my heart for Jesus that has given me the confidence
to step out and share both my faith and my art.
For he has called me to use my gifts and share His words.
I will choose to do this to the best of
my ability and continue to seek God first
in all things.

"Since we all have gifts that differ to
the grace give to us, let us exercise them."
Romans:12:6
You have also been given gifts according to Gods plan and purpose
for your lives.
I encourage you to use these gifts.
For they have been given by the grace of
Loving Father.
